S.O.A.P Method
Scripture~ Ecclesiastes 7:1-5 NLT
" A good reputation is more valuable than costly perfume. And the day you die is better than the day you are born. Better to spend your time at funerals than at parties. After all, everyone dies- so the living should take this to heart. Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us. A wise person thinks a lot about death, while a fool thinks only about having a good time. Better to be criticized by a wise person than to be praised by a fool."
Observation~ wisdom grows in places we don't prefer. It is found in uncomfortable places.
-funerals make us reflect on life's meaning
-Sorrow refines us
-wise correction is better than empty praise
Application~ Even though I am going through a hard time with finding a job, it doesn't mean I'm failing, it may shape me though. And I have to learn that when someone wise corrects me, it's a gift, not an attack. When life gets heavy, God may be deepening my character, not punishing me.
Prayer~ Dear Father God, please forgive me for I have sinned. I have said some awful things to my husband, and I am sincerely sorry for doing that. I know I will be punished for that and I will accept that. Please teach me to humble myself and accept when someone who is wise wants to correct me. Give me wisdom to see the value in the hard moments and teach me to live intentionally, honorably, and close to you. In Jesus Mighty name I pray. Amen

Now that's DEEP!
