Who is Elizabeth Reed and why is it important to know her?
Hi, I’m Elizabeth Reed — entrepreneur, creative community builder, and founder of AquaSoul Home Community with Shop. Born, raised, and educated in Fayette and Raleigh County, West Virginia (Northwest from the state of Virginia), I’ve built my journey through real-world experience, perseverance, creativity, and a passion for helping others feel seen, supported, and inspired. I earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration in 2008 and a Certificate in Business Clerical/Office Management in 2002 from Valley College. Over the years, I’ve worked in retail logistics, healthcare support, home care services, customer service, and volunteer community programs across West Virginia, Virginia, and Florida. My background includes positions with Target, SuperK/Kmart, VOCA Corp, and Heartland of Beckley, along with volunteer work through Goodwill Industries, the Raleigh County YMCA, Raleigh County Library, and the Salvation Army. In 2020, I launched Aquarian Shop by Liz (now named AquaSoul Community with Shop) in Gainesville, Florida, with a vision of creating more than just an online shop. I wanted to build a welcoming space centered around Inspired Living, creativity, encouragement, collaboration, and authentic connection. Today, AquaSoul Home continues growing as a platform where creators, entrepreneurs, affiliates, and community members can connect, share global inspirational content, and promote USA self-made home décor and goods. As a business owner, writer, mother, and grandmother, I understand the importance of building something meaningful with heart and purpose. My mission is to help others feel encouraged, empowered, and connected through creativity, community, and shared growth. Whether you’re visiting to shop, collaborate, or simply connect — welcome. Did You Know Our Journey Began in 2020?
What started as a simple online shop has grown into something much bigger — a creative, community-driven space built on inspiration, connection, and growth. In January 2020, founder Elizabeth “Liz” Reed launched AquaSoul’s first version, Aquarian Shop by Liz, offering a wide variety of products, from clothing and accessories to outdoor gear and lifestyle items. As the vision evolved, so did the brand. In 2022, the business became Aqua Shop Liz, a name that felt fresh and creative at the time but still didn’t fully reflect the platform's deeper purpose. In 2023, the brand transformed again into AquaSoul Home Gift Shop, later shortened to AquaSoul Home Decor to create a cleaner, more modern identity. But something was still missing that umph. As technology, creativity, and community engagement continued growing — especially through new AI-powered tools and social features explored throughout 2024 — Liz realized AquaSoul was no longer just an online shop. It had become a place for people to connect, share, create, inspire, collaborate, and grow together. That realization led to the name we proudly use today: AquaSoul Community with Shop While the name may be longer, it finally represents the true heart of the mission: ✨ A community-centered platform designed to inspire through blogs, groups, creative content, social media engagement, collaboration opportunities, and soulsational home décor & lifestyle products.
