Sometimes we try too hard to please others
As humans we try to enjoy connections with others, especially those that we are blood kin to. But maybe that's not what we should be focusing on. Maybe we should be focusing on finding others that will respect and appreciate us for WHO WE ARE, not who they think or want us to be.
